Denizli textile manufacturer produced ‘antibacterial’ mask with high protection

While the use of masks for the corona virus, which affects the whole world, is frequently on the agenda, Denizlili textile company produced a multi-use, antibacterial fabric mask that provides high-level protection. In the first stage, 10 thousand masks were produced in a short time, and new productions were started.

Evteks, which produces fabrics in Denizli, has developed an antibacterial fabric made of 100 percent cotton, which has been studied for 8 years and passed international bacteria tests. Masks and gloves were produced from a fabric called Evolution Of Cotton (EOC), which has an international patent.

After the corona virus epidemic, more mask demands came to the company that produces masks and gloves designed for the use of those who travel abroad frequently. After the demand for masks and gloves due to the Corona virus, which emerged in China and caused the death of thousands of people and was also seen in Turkey, 10 thousand masks were produced. The first 10 thousand of the masks and gloves, which are sold as retail in the country over the Internet, were sold.

10 thousand more gloves and masks started to be produced from the fabric that won Turkey’s Most Innovative SME Award, Istanbul Chamber of Industry Environment Award and Istanbul Golden Values Award.

Evteks R&D and production manager Ali Taner Özyurt told Denizli Haber that they have been working on antibacterial protection fabric for 8 years. Özyurt pointed out that the mask is not like disposable masks, it can be washed and reused, it is organic, and therefore it is in high demand.

Noting that the fabric passed 2 international high-level bacteria tests successfully, Özyurt said, “Our company managers have been using the products made from this fabric in their overseas trips for about 2 years. We already had the fabric that had passed the 2 bacteria test. In the last month, there was an intense demand for production and we produced 10 thousand units. All sold online. Now we are producing 10 thousand more units upon request”.
